1) Factory A in Q3= 1800 units
Factory D in (Q1+Q2)= 1,000+1,200 = 2,200
Factory D’s output in Q1 & Q2 is more than Factory A’s output in Q3
FALSE

2) Factory A total output= 1200+1500+1800= 4,500
4,500> 4,000
TRUE

3) Output of Factory D in Q3 = 1,500
Output of Factory B in any quarter= 900, 1100, 1300
Output of Factory D is higher than Factory B’s in any quarter
TRUE

This is the correct solution.

Here is the official solution:

1. Factory A produced more units in Q3 than Factory D produced in Q1 and Q2 combined.

- Factory A in Q3: 1,800 units.
- Factory D in Q1 and Q2 combined: 1,000 + 1,200 = 2,200 units.

Factory A produced 1,800 units in Q3, but Factory D produced 2,200 units in Q1 and Q2 combined. So, Factory A did not produce more units than Factory D.

Answer: False

2. Factory A’s total output for the three quarters exceeded 4,000 units.

- Factory A’s total output: 1,200 + 1,500 + 1,800 = 4,500 units.

Since 4,500 units exceeds 4,000 units, this statement is true.

Answer: True

3. The output of Factory D in Q3 was higher than the output of Factory B in any quarter.

- Factory D in Q3: 1,500 units.
- Factory B’s output:
- Q1: 900 units
- Q2: 1,100 units
- Q3: 1,300 units

Factory D’s output in Q3 (1,500 units) is higher than Factory B’s output in any quarter (maximum 1,300 units in Q3).

Answer: True
