Thanks for pointing that out!

I changed the increase % from 10 to 13.
Whoisdmx15
The South region had both the highest Q1 sales and the highest percentage increase from Q4 to Q1.

How is this true?
Are we looking at absolute sale value or increase %, as East has higher growth from Q4 to Q1

1. The question asks us to figure out whether the following statements are true or false.

2. The South region had both the highest Q1 sales and the highest percentage increase from Q4 to Q1. The South had Q1 sales of $200000 and a percentage increase of 13%, which are the highest in both categories. So, this statement is true.

3. The average number of stores across all regions is exactly 10. The average number of stores per region is equal to \(\frac{10 + 12 + 8 + 9}{4} = \frac{39}{4} = 9.75\), which is not 10. So, this statement is false.

4. The Q4 sales of the East region were higher than those of the West region. Let the Q4 sales in a region be x. Then, \(x * (1 + increase \ from \ Q4) = Q1 \ sales\) or \(x = \frac{Q1 \ sales}{1 + increase \ from \ Q4}\). Now, we can calculate this value for the East and West regions:

- East region. \(Q4 \ sales = \frac{Q1 \ sales}{1 + increase \ from \ Q4} = \frac{180000}{1 + 0.11} \approx 162162\).
- West region. \(Q4 \ sales = \frac{Q1 \ sales}{1 + increase \ from \ Q4} = \frac{170000}{1 + 0.07} \approx 158879\).

162162 > 158879. So, this statement is true.
