• To find the range for each subject, subtract the lowest score from the highest score among the five students: Math has a range of 80 - 73 = 7. However, Current Affairs has a range of 78 - 65 = 13, which is higher. So, this statement is false.
Caroline has the highest average score across all four subjects.
• Sorting by subject scores, only Ana and Caroline are contenders. Ana’s total is 300, Caroline’s is 307. So Caroline has the highest average. So, this statement is true.
Ana has the highest median score across the four subjects among the five students.
• The median score of four values will be the average of the two middle scores. Basically, to compare the medians, we just need to compare the sum of the two middle scores for each student.
