2011
  • Students: 676
  • Parents: 407
  • Teachers: 153
In 2009, the city’s schools received an average rating of 7.0 among all survey responders in the category of Engagement. => No

Total ratings for Engagement in 2009 = (6.4 * 632) + (7.4 * 416) + (7.2 * 147)
  • Total number of students (with rating 6.4 < 7) i.e. 632 is more than total number of parents + teachers (ratings 7.4 and 7.2, both > 7) i.e. 563 (=416+147)
  • 6.4 is more far away from 7 than 7.2 or 7.4
=> Avg < 7

If in 2011 the schools received a rating below 7.0 in a particular category, there is a 67% probability that this rating was given by students. => Yes

In 2011:
For Academic Expectations & Safety and Respect: all ratings are > 7
For Communication: Students and Teachers give ratings < 7
For Engagement: Students give ratings <7

In 2011, the average rating that the city’s schools were given by students and teachers combined for Academic Expectations was greater than the rating the schools were given for Academic Expectations by parents. => No

Avg for Academic Expectations in 2011, by Students & Teachers: (7.5 * 676) + (8.2 * 153) = 7.61
Avg for Academic Expectations in 2011, by Parents: 7.8
