Without a doubt, PITA (Plugging In the Answers)!
I like trying B and D. Those look like the easiest to work with, so that helps. Let's start with B.
4^(4+1) – 4^(2+2) = 1024 - 256. Way too big!
As t grows, the result will only get bigger, so we need something smaller. C, D, and E are out.
Answer choice A.

I took t=2
got answer 256....needed 128
therefore knew that the time taken should be less than 2...
there was only one option like that...
therefore marked it....
There is only one problem...
this will only work if u r 100% sure that increase in time will cause the temperature to rise
U could substitute the values such as (t=1) and (t=2) to find out
But i rather assumed it thinking "as time increases the temp will also increase"
but note, this may not always be the case

4^(2t+1) - 4^(t+2) =128
i.e
2^(4t+2) - 2^(2t+4)=2^7
2^(2t+4) [2^(2t-2) - 1] = 2^7
Assuming 2^(2t-2) - 1 = 1
2t-2=1
t=3/2
plugging back in equation holds.
i.e
2^(4t+2) - 2^(2t+4)=2^7
2^(2t+4) [2^(2t-2) - 1] = 2^7
Assuming 2^(2t-2) - 1 = 1
2t-2=1
t=3/2
plugging back in equation holds.
