i took my GMAT 2day and scored only 570 despite 2 months of intensive prep.i scored 700 in powerprep and i was extremely confident of doing well.but 570 was what i saw ultimately.

i realized my biggest mistake was that i never took timing seriously, the truth is that if u see a very difficult question u r unable to solve in ur usual pace just move on they may be pretesting questions,i encountered a lot of easier questions which i could not solve simply due to lack of time.
i was so frustrated that i knew how to solve these questions but could not do so bcoz of lack of time.

i am extremely disappointed and i dont know what to do
any tips are there any cds i can try out

Hang around in this club and follow the prep style advocated here. Self -introspect, make strategy, log you errors, practice, participate, practice participate. Give it another shot and start fresh as if you don't know anything. I am sure you will make it next time. Also read some sticky inspirational posts.

Ashwini,

I also had a terrible experience. The worst part about getting a low score is the depression that you face after the exam. I felt miserable for a few days.

This group is very useful.Keep participating in the forums. Even if you get the questions wrong, make an attempt.

I guess, the key to victory would be
- Identify weak areas (mine is verbal ,RC in particular)
- Take more timed tests (Difficulty level higher)
- Get the concepts right.

I usually follow the Process of Elimination in areas like SC,CR to arrive at the correct answer. I need to avoid that. Getting the concepts right is the key to success.

And this forum is the best place for it.

Don't feel low. We'll all do it,give that sucker GMAT a big punch and get a big score.

We all want to impore. We all want a better score.
That is why we are in this club.

Take some time off.Regain your energy and fight that monster GMAT!
All the best.! Iam sure u'll do well.
