Initial Value= $5000 At the end of 1st year: $$\frac{4}{5}$$*5000=$4000

At the end of 2nd year: 4000*$$\frac{4}{5}$$= $3200 At the end of 3rd year: 3200*$$\frac{4}{5}$$=$2560

OR

5000*$$\frac{4}{5}$$*$$\frac{4}{5}$$*$$\frac{4}{5}$$= $2560 Answer: C. _________________ Kindly hit kudos if my post helps! After 3 years the value of the machine is:

5,000 x 4/5 x 4/5 x 4/5 = 5 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 4/5 x 4/5 x 4/5 = 40 x 4 x 4 x 4 = 2,560
