Statement 2 gives values of 2015 and 2017 value of pendant. The question stem already mentions relation with 2015 and 2013, so we can find price of pendant with B

Let the value of pendant in 2013 be 100x
Then, the value of pendant in 2015 = 50x
Statement 1:
(1) The value of the pendant in 2014 was $3,000.
The value of pendant in 2014 is given, this is not sufficient to answer the question.
Hence, Insufficient
Statement 2:
(2) The value of the pendant increased by 25% from 2015 to 2017, resulting in a value of $3,125 at the end of 2017.
The value increased by 25% from 2015 to 2017, resulting in a value of $3125.
50x *(5/4) = 3125.
Thus, x = 50
we can find the value of 2013.
Hence Sufficient.
