= √0.089 ≅ 0.9

√0.089/0.03 ≅ 0.9/0.03 ≅ 10

I think there's a typo in the solution above (the numerator should be 0.3, not 0.9).

Since the answers are very far apart, we can round off liberally. If you recognize that 0.089 is very close to 0.09 = 9/100, which has a simple square root, then we can estimate easily:

√0.089 / 0.03 ~ √0.09 / 0.03 = √(9/100) / (3/100) = (3/10) / (3/100) = 100/10 = 10

Solution

Given
In this question, we are given that
• An expression: $$\frac{√0.089}{0.03}$$

To find
We need to determine
• The closest approximation of the original value of the expression

Approach and Working out
0.089 can be approximated as 0.09
• √0.09 = 0.3
• Hence, the given expression = $$\frac{0.3}{0.03} = 10$$

Thus, option D is the correct answer.
