So... I had interviewed at Georgetown (evening program) in the middle of May and was told (before the interview began) that it is their policy to say 'yeh or nah' only on the official decision date (May 28 '2010).
So... Wanna know from admitted McDonough students if this in fact true and if i'm going to have to be patient and
hold my breath till the 28th. and also, how do they announce their decision (phone/email/snail mail/pigeon mail)?
Also, Whats ever one's opinion on Smith vs. McDonough?

Unfortunately you will have to wait until the official date. They will call you tomorrow if you are accepted and also mail out the letter tomorrow. It is a rough wait, but definitely worth it. You cannot even compare the quality of students between Smith and McDonough

Yes, you will definitely have to wait until tomorrow (the 28th). I think they'll email you in addition to sending you a letter. I was in a situation similar to yours and I waited for Georgetown, even canceled on another DC Area MBA school after I heard from Georgetown. Well worth the deposit loss. Good faculty and great fellow students.
