Last week a school who are 2nd in my list emailed to ask for my decision. I told them I did not make up my mind yet.
Yesterday they called me up again to tell me that they will increase my fellowship 5k more per year. It was touched. (It's a school in the list of 30 top schools of Business week). I really love that school too. And seeing how they want me make me very hesitate right now.
I think that I should re-consider my decision a little bit. Not because of the $$$, but they take me high and show that they really want me in their school, which makes me feel good.
What you guys would do if you were in my shoes?
Second, I think that an applicant would have some advantages if apply to 2 tier schools late in admission process. After the season, the top applicants will make their decisions to attend top schools, which leave the 2 tier schools be more generous in choosing applicants in order to fill up the class. How do you think about my hypothesis?
(third, when I post in the forum, if I have some bad word-choices, please feel free to correct me. English is not my 1st language, and I am willing to learn. I will really appreaciate that)
