Can I apply for b schools after 2-3 years of giving my gmat? As everyone selects their interested b schools before the test, does it mean we need to apply for those schools the following year or can we apply after 2-3 years?

ashishthanga - Your GMAT score is valid for 5 years and therefore you can apply anytime during this period; however, it is advisable to apply within the forst 3 year of taking the test. I also recommend you to find more information on deferred MBA programs.

Your Official GMAT Score is valid for 5 years, so planning to apply sometime in that 5-year period after your Exam would make sense. As part of your Exam Fee, you are allowed to select up to 5 Schools to receive your Official Score Report when you apply, BUT you have to select those Schools on Test Day. If you're not sure what Schools you want to apply to, then that's fine, but you should still put together a list that makes sense (maybe a couple of dream Schools and some local Schools). If you don't select any Schools on Test Day, then each Official Report you send out later on will require that you pay a fee.
