Hi folks,
I first attempted the GMAT early this year. I prepared using
MGMAT guide books only and ended up scoring 610 (V38, Q36). I'm naturally strong on the verbal side but not so on the quant side.
After this debacle, I signed up for
Magoosh hoping the 50-point score increase guarantee would help me get my dream score =>680. But I only managed to score 630. My verbal score went up but my quant score went down even further.
Now I'm considering a third attempt and since
Magoosh didn't work for me, was considering private tutoring. However, private tutoring is expensive and something that'd be pretty hard for me to afford presently. So I was thinking whether I should give some other online course a shot this time.
However, I'm scared just in case that doesn't work either. Before
magoosh, I had never really used an online prep system and after the dismal result after using
magoosh, I'm worried whether an online prep is something that just doesn't work for me.
This would be pretty much be my final attempt at the gmat and if this doesn't work, I'd be out another $250 (GMAT fee), a month or two of prep and a whole wasted year as I won't be able to apply to schools this year.
Should I go for private tutoring, no matter how expensive it is? Or should I consider giving a different online prep course a chance?
Kinda confused, please advise.
Thanks!
