Divided Over is the proper usage then 
over whether significant warming  will  occur and what impact it  would  have -> proper tense usage

C, D -> "or" is wrong here. it should be "and"
For me "divided over" more idiomatic than " divided on" inthis situation.
So I chose E.

whether... what... goes in parallel (both are questioning act as pronouns)
B is out.

Its between A and E.

A) on  whether significant warming will occur  and  what impact will it have if it does 
= whether significant warming will occur and what impact  will warming have  if warming does
hmmm!!! both looks parallel... but second part looks little suspicious.

if warming does, what impact  will warming have  
 it should be... 
if warming does, what impact  warming will have

E) whether significant warming will occur and what impact it would have
 = whether significant waming will occur and what impact warmig would have
 (sounds ok to me..)

I want to improve both: A) on whether significant warming will occur and what impact it will have if it does E) over whether significant warming will occur and what impact it will have Regarding ON vs OVER with divided both seem acceptable choices. Nonetheless I'm looking for a native speakers to prove/reject my opinion. My choice is E because in A if it does seems redundant for me

Oh my God, now I changed my point of view... I forgot about the reverse order in english grammar. So that A is quite good from that perspective. But E still has the problem with "would". With 80 % likelihood GMAT votes for A.

If E is the best, why E should not be: "will....will" or "would....would"? But "will....would..." and we must assume that they are parallel only because we have no other reasons? Really funny, do you think so? :lol:

I think the will...would is correct in this case, because it's conditional, I mean, if the weather warming occurs, then we don't know what impacts it  would  have.
