The two members of the oldest generation receive a 25% discount as senior citizens. The two members of the middle generation receive no discount. As the older Generation Granpa receives 25% discount, So the initial price of the ticket is 8$

Total grandpa has to pay: 2*6+2*8+2*4=36

cost of ticket
x*.75=6
x= 8
so oldest ticket price = 6*2 =12
middle = 8*2= 16
youngest = 8*.50; 4*2 = 8
total sum ; 36

Since the senior ticket is 6 dollars:

0.75n = 6

n = 8

Therefore, a ticket with no discount costs 8 dollars.

So the 2 tickets for the youngest generation cost 2 x (1/2 x 8) = 8 dollars

The 2 tickets for the members of the oldest generation cost 2 x 6 =12 dollars.

The 2 tickets for the middle generation cost 2 x 8 = 16 dollars.

So the total is 8 + 12 + 16 = 36 dollars.

Answer: B
