This might be the wrong area to post this but w/e...
Im applying to Univ. of Alabama - a tier 2 school i guess... What im wondering is what are the lowest scores you guys have heard from a tier 1 school. Alabama touts its avg's however they are skewed way up bc we give away full rides to those who get a 700+ on the gmat. Our avg for MBA is like 640 and our MSF is 660... I think my max for the gmat is right at 620.
I think this score should do the job, just wondering what other app's who've applied and gotten into tier 1 schools got on their gmat?

First of all, your poll doesn't make any sense. You ask what are the chances, then you don't provide any percentages or ratios or anything.
To answer the question I think you are asking, there's very little difference between the three choices. There are certainly other factors that will differentiate you more than those 3 scores.
To answer the final part of your question, there are a lot of profiles for people admitted to top schools. Just do a quick search and you'll find dozens. Don't just look at their GMAT though. Look at their GPA, quality of their college, work experience, activities. GMAT is an important part, but it's generally a limiting factor rather than a determinative one.

Right... i guess i didn't word my poll correctly, Sorry.
What i was essentially asking was what the lowest score anyone has seen someone get whose gotten into a tier 1 school. Now, i know there are other factors involved however in my case, alabama, doesn't, in my humble opinion and from what i've heard, really give a crap about those factors if a 700+ students comes in w/ an app they will get a free ride and get in... We like to get our avg's up w/ the big boys
So what i figured is if you can get like a 620 and get into Vandy or some other big name school, i would think they would let me in to the mba program at alabama...
See our avg is 640 but im convinced the middle half scores are b/w like 580 and a 650, i maybe wrong about this though.
