Thank you for the quick reply. I have an additional question after watching your video. If I understood the video correctly, it IS advised to immediately guess on a question if I am 2+ minutes behind the timer and I will NOT be penalized for doing so. I once heard that the algorithm penalizes you for immediately guessing on a question - that you need to send at least several seconds before moving on to the next question.

Is this true?

No, that is not true.
Where did you get that from?

Cheers,
Brent

Hi Equinocs,

Many Test Takers face pacing issues while dealing with either the Quant or Verbal section (or both) at some point during their studies, so you're not alone. Pacing problems don't exist on their own though - they're the results of OTHER problems. In real simple terms, "your way" of approaching certain question is taking too long - so your focus should be on learning/practicing other (faster) Tactics.

Back in March, you mentioned how you had scored 560 on a recent practice CAT. How did you score on these two recent CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

had come across this blog sometime back, it's got some pretty useful pacing strategies for both verbal and quant. It's not my blog...just something useful I came across, so sharing it here. https://tranquilstorm.wordpress.com/200 ... -strategy/
