There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I started preparation for GMAT three months back, and I scored Q49 in the very first GMAT Prep. In the next two months, I solved OG (twice), Quant review and MGMAT mocks. I took the second GMAT prep and again scored Q49 Discouraged I started practicing GMAT Club tests and my results have been Q51,50,50,50,51,50,50.
The problem with my inconsistent score is that by the end of each test, I find myself facing time crunch, and it results in silly mistakes in the last few questions and thus score reduces to Q50/Q49.
I have sometimes found myself spending more than 4 minutes in a question too. How should I tackle this problem? Or is it just that GMAT club tests are more difficult than actual GMAT?

You are doing well!! Do not worry as the GmatClub Tests are much difficult than the actual GMAT. Even if you can finish the Quant section 5 miins early, still do not spend more than 4 mins on any question.
