How should I approach this? Should I use it to convey how I would participate in the clubs and other activities while in school and after as a alum or should I talk something about my background/career but that info would already be in my resume.

Thoughts please.

Try and focus on two things:

1. What makes you unique as a candidate.
2. How these unique traits can benefits your classmates and/or the school.

Try to avoid the typical stuff like "I'm an engineer so I can help people understand the tech industry". Go deeper than that. Something like "In my career as an engineer, I had the opportunity to help support a number of start-up companies and I plan on sharing those experiences in my entrepreneurship class to help fellow students understand the challenge of getting a new technology to market".

There are a lot of engineers that apply to b-school. There aren't a lot of engineers who worked with 6 different start-up in 5 years.
