Hi everyone,
I'm currently in my last month before my GMAT appt.
I have been studying for about 3 months now and managed to improved my quant score from 10% to 70%, still not great I know, but its def. an improvement.
I took a Knewton course and then read all of the MGMAT math guides. I am about half way through the OG-quant book.
My question is whether I should really start with the OG12 book - i have read that it only has fairly basic questions and I don't want to waste my last few weeks on questions that won't improve my score significantly.
I have also read that Knewton practice questions are almost carbon copies of the OG questions, does anyone agree? so if that is the case is it really necessary to finish the OG12 if I did the Knewton course? or would I be better off completing the GMAT club quant questions or doing more practice tests... any ideas??

Your best bet is to focus on your weak areas (use error log or just figure out what they are).
The value of the OG is in verbal mostly (gives you an ability to train your ear).
As an example, I have studied without using the OG and relied solely on Kaplan materials, and paid for it on the test (was not prepared for the Probability questions and got a measly Q49
).Bottom line: if you have an idea what you need to do/review/complete in the last few weeks, then focus on that and don't worry about OG.
If you are not sure and figuring things out - get the OG 12; it is not much $$ and you can focus on the last 50 questions in each section; those are usually 700-level questions.

Verbal is my strong point, i have taken 7 CATS and always get above 90% so don't need much practice on that front.
I think I'll do what you said and focus on the last 40-50 questions of each section in the OG12.
My weaknesses are Rates and work, permutations, combinations, and probability - just can't seem to get those quesitons right no matter what I do. Any recommended books or strategies??
One question, i'm slowly coming to the point where I need to start doing the AWAs on my practice tests. What is the best AWA guide/resource you know of??
