To Tell or Not To Tell?

So here's the deal:
I'm going on vacation from May 7th through June 1st....
My current plan is to resign effective July 15th or so. Thus, I was thinking about just coming back and telling them in June, giving em about 1.5 months notice... Part of me thinks I should just tell them now... part of figures, why bother? 1.5 months is plenty notice. Whats the difference?
A few details:
I'm not up for promotion so there's likely no real upside to telling them later.
Similarly, there's likely no upside to telling them now either.
The only possible thing I could think of is that if I find the job hours stay really really low - like they have been - I might not want to leave July 15th, I might just stay through August 1st. I trivial amount of time, but its money in my pocket.... similarly if things get really busy in the summer (unlikely) I might leave a bit earlier.
The only other consideration is that since I'll doing a class or two at the GSB over the summer, I will be working from home up to two or three times a week.... I could do that, have a nice fun summer while I work - get paid a full salary - and then leave in July. Negotiating two days from home if they know I'm quitting would probably be more difficult... Then again, if I tell em, they might well just stop giving me stuff to do all summer anyway.
