Guys, I'd like to ask everyone who took many (>6) CAT's during preparation:

1) Weren't you exhausted after taking so many CAT's?
2) How did you analyze your CAT's results?
3) Weren't you tired on the test day taking a CAT the day before?

This is a pretty good question. I am planning on CAT-ing like a fool before I take the actual test. I would modify it to ask how much did it help?, how much progress did you make (from what score to what)? Would you use this method again?

i think its best to peak at the right time ...doing too many CATS can tire you down so its best to take them with preparation and breaks .....

1. Actually not. Solved all 6 MGMAT tests within 8 days before exams. Solving a number of CATs in succession sets you in a rythm.
2. Try to find out reasons for mistake in terms of lack of concept/silly mistake. If the mistake is due to lack of concept, try to understand the concept. Analyse the timings. Analyse sectionwise accuracy. Analyse concentration/fatigue levels.
3. Did not give CAT one day before exam. Gave a CAT 2 days before exams.

1. Yes and no - I spread them out, so was not exhausted but it is tiring
2. I printed out every question I missed (Print Screen and into a Word File)
3. I took a test exactly the same time I would have at the test center (woke up the same time I would have as well). Took the test, was done in 4 hours :) and was a free man for the rest of the day :)

bb, did you approach CAT's with the same mindset as an actual GMAT, or were you relaxed?
