well. the overall score is pretty good, but you have to consider that the top programs indicates a split on speaking and write section of at least 25.
So I would suggest you to retake IF the program specifically says for a 25 in both sections. otherwise it is a good score.
It depends on what the school wants.
regards
I have been looking for basic requirements in top programs but I did not found the minimum scores for each section.
Anyway, I have booked next 25th of January to retake the TOEFL, hoping I will "speak" better this time
The MBAs that I'm considering are (in order):
1) Stanford (this is aspirational)
2) Wharton
3) MIT
4) Haas (not sure)
5) UCLA (back-up)
As far as i know the school would not be impressed a lot for a read score of 29 and speaking 20.........what do you think about in the shoes of a commission that should evaluate your profile ???
I don't know.... my expertise here is very limited and I am just doing what feels right..... I been asking for advice to my colleagues at work and they think I should try.
The full picture of my profile in few words:
GMAT --> 710 (Q49 V38) done in July
TOEFL --> 102 ( 29,29,20,24) done in December
Experience: worked in Austria for 6 months, then 1,5 years in a Big four and now I have 1 year in a top strategy consultant firm (I will apply next year) I am from Spain
Studies: Telecommunications engineer (8/10)
The problem with the retake is that I have very few spare time to spend studying.....
