Hey guys,
I guess i found myself an answer to this question.
Its so simple and straight forward.
IELTS is damm easy but a word of caution here. Just a few hours of preparation will land you in 6.5 ( no doubts - assumption - non native average English speaker ). But 7 and 7.5 you need more preparation and the more cannot be justified because there are a few little resources to prepare with.. There are few but not a lot of material.
TOEFL comes with a lot of advantages. No surprises. Fixed question template. RC way faaaar easy when compared to GMAT RC. So chuck it. For writing there are lots of templates in this forum. We can make use of it. And more over the TOEFL
OG the official guide is available at the local book stores and you can grab it any time. Whereas the IELTS
OG will be sent over by mail only by the British Council. ( Not a big disadvantage, but people with serious timing constraints wont be able to receive the material ) And there is an onine prep compnay called Notefull. They do a pretty good job. They review our speaking skills too. But i suspect there isn't any such thing for IELTS.
So in my opinion TOEFL will be a good choice if you are looking for high scores. If you choose between TOEFL 100 or IELTS 6.5, obviously IELTS should be the choice.
Hope it helps.
