Many business schools and MBA programs that require TOEFL scores from non-native English speakers offer several alternative. Two of the most common TOEFL alternatives are IELTS and PTE.

PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic is the world’s leading computer-based test of English for study abroad and immigration. PTE Academic results are available within five business days, and the Score Report includes your overall score, communicative skills scores and enabling skills scores. There are PTE Academic test centres located in over 50 countries worldwide.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular high stakes English-language test for study, work and migration, with more than 2.2 million tests taken each year. IELTS recognises both British and American English in terms of spelling, grammar and choice of words. It also incorporates a mix of native speaker accents from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and US in the Listening component. IELTS scores are accepted by over 9,000 organisations worldwide, including universities, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies. The Test Report Form is posted 13 days after the test.

I have not heard or seen any discussion about it either. I can say these programs can supplement the english profiency requirement but they can't be taken to replace TOEFL.
