The schools I am looking at range from

3/15 to 4/15

But mostly in the middle of March is the deadline for 3 schools I want to apply to

It takes approximately 4 weeks for official GMAT results to be sent to schools. I think you are ok if you can complete the rest of your application (essays .. references etc) within this 4 weeks.

How are you progressing with those?

I have the recommendation letters ready to go, but the essays need to be written.

4 weeks, yeah I heard it was that long.

Do schools allow you to self report the score

No they usually don't. But given the deadline is in the middle of March, you have more than 4 weeks now, you shouldn't have issue there..

690 and a 3.3 GPA is fine. You should apply now and email admissions and let them know you took your GMAT. Most schools will accept a non-official score when time is of the essence. As long as you have it officially sent to them they will be fine.

FYI - 690 GMAT is great. MBA programs have gotten into this GMAT arms race because of rankings, but MSF programs have largely avoided this to date. You are fine and will be accepted by many/most programs with that score. Including being eligible for scholarships/fellowships.
