Hey RitambharaJaiz,

Preparing for the GMAT can indeed be a challenging journey, and it's completely normal to feel demotivated after receiving a score that's below your expectations. However, this score is just a starting point and definitely not a reason to stop. It's an opportunity to identify the areas you need to focus on to improve.

To help you better, could you please DM us your email ID and also let us know your accuracy in medium/hard questions on the official guide (OG)? This information will help us understand your strengths and weaknesses in tackling difficult questions and tailor a more specific study plan for you.

Hi RitambharaJaiz,

Just to ensure that you have the most accurate baseline score, I recommend taking an official practice exam. Once you do, feel free to reach out with the results, and we can take things from there.

I have been preparing for the GMAT for the past five months, with serious studying over the last two months. Recently, I took e-GMAT's mock test and scored 445. Today, I took the official mock test for better accuracy and scored 475. I am feeling demotivated to continue studying. I need to submit my GMAT score to ISB in August, but I don't think I will be able to achieve the required score due to my low performance on the official mock. I doubt I can increase my score from 475 to 700+ in the next 1.5 months. What should I do now? Should I continue preparing and target other business schools? If so, how can I improve my verbal skills (especially critical reasoning, as I struggle with time management and accuracy) and quant? For data interpretation, I believe consistent preparation is needed, but what strategies should I follow for verbal and quant?

Can understand the frustration. How have you been preparing?

Also, as Ajitesh has suggested, it might also be a good idea to give an official mock test, to see if results are any different.
