I am very curious about your ESR with 690 score. In Verbal, your accuracy rate in the last quarter was a very respectable 75%, even as the average time you spent per question in the last quarter was just 28 seconds!

How is that possible?

p.s. Both ESRs do show that better time management might propel your score by at least 2-3 points. You seem to be consistent in spending the most time per question in the second quarter of the exam, much to the peril of the last quarter.

For the last 6 questions on verbal I had to guess because of no time left. I had to guess a whole RC passage within those 6 questions.

My timing is better now because I now track the answer choices in my notepad. In the past I would keep it in my head and sometimes forget which ones I have eliminated.

However I still have some timing issues in the verbal that needs to be worked upon.

I am planning to read CR gmat powerscore bible in the next 5 months. I will probably have 2 hours a week to study on GMAT.

Do you think this is a good starting point? My CR fluctuates between 60-80 percentile and I believe I can improve it at a fast rate.

Hi Berk,

I've sent you a PM with an analysis of your ESR and some additional notes.

Hi Brego7,

First off, great job with quant! 48 and 50 are fantastic GMAT quant scores. Regarding verbal, you mentioned that CR and RC are your weak areas. Would you like some general advice on how to improve your CR and RC skills?
