hey everybody. took the test yesterday and came out hugely dissapointed. i scored a 660 Q44, V37. I have been aiming for a 700 and could not believe that my score came out so low.
firstly i think the test was really really hard. specially the quant part. i always used to think that quant was my stronghold but i dont how i managed only 44. believe it or not i got about 7-8 prob questions and 3 standard deviation questions. the prob questions were far from standard questions and really tested my ability to apply the basics. i mean i am trying to figure out how i could get so many hard questions and still end up with a low score. my guess is that i really fell short for time after the 25th question and made a ton of mistakes toward the end. all of you gus who have taken the test , do u think it is possible that i messed up the last part of test, inspite of doing well on the first part and thats why i managed only 44? coz i cannot figure out why the material was so hard and dissimilar from all the prep material?
the verbal was a little tougher than
OG i think. i dont have much of an excuse there as i was scoring around 40 in my PP anyways.
by the way here is how i was doing on my prep stuff.
Kaplan: 560, 620, 660, 640.
PR: 710, 710
PP: 710, 730
guys, i need some serious advice. how can i boost up my score. i want to take it again but i was so confident that i had studied everything that i dont know what to study next. can anyone suggest any texts other than GMAT prep that can prepare me for probability and stats. also how can i improve verbal. so far i have used Kaplan 04,
OG, Kaplan 800, Kaplan verbal study. where can i find really hard material. someone mentioned studying from the Lsat books. does that help? finally whats the deal with the Kaplaan question bank? is it worth spending the money for it?
pls reply. i need help. my dreams have crashed and i need a jumpstart.
