I am no expert at SC, but by time I was done studying, I could figure out the error on every sentence pretty easily. Here's what I did for SC...
I studied Princeton first, and after trying out a few OG Qs, I realized I was totally underprepared. That's when I stumbled across this site. Everyday, during at work during lunch, I used to go through one concept and then try out the execrcise. I repeated the same exercise after 2 weeks, so that I had the concept engrained in my brain. I then started work on OG Qs again. This time, I was able to crack some of the more difficult ones pretty easily. After I was completely done with OG, I was desperately looking for more questions, when bigB posted those 885Qs. I solved each and every problem in this guide making notes for each question.
This is how I answered SC qs during practice:
1)read question
2)Identify error
3)Identify correct answer
4)Identify errors in other choices.
5)Make detail notes for each question.
6) Verify Answers with OG. IWhen you get a Q wrong check to see whether you are familiar with the error concept, If so, check to see where you went wrong. If not, make note of the error type, refer to website, study that concept in detail, try out the practice exercises, then come back to the problem.
7) Identify very difficult ones and seek explanations for those.
8) Try solving questions identified in step 7 after 2 weeks.
You will be amazed to see the number of times ETS tests the same concepts. Practice, I guess, is the key. Not just solving the problems, but solving them convincingly.
Personally, I think ETS tests these concepts more than it does others:
1) Misplaced modifiers.
2) Comparison errors.
3) Relative pronoun erros. Get a firm grasp of restrictive and non-restrictive clauses.
4) Parallel sentences. Be particularly vary of these. Identify which parts need to be parallel.
5) Tense errors.
6) Idioms (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT)
7) use of like Vs As
8) I have noticed that ETS tends to use a lot of passive voice in its answer choices. Learn to identify passive construction and eliminate answer choices with passive voice.
9) Learn the correct usage of "in which" "where" "when".
10) Meaning of a sentence. Learn to identify what the sentence means. Sometimes, the sentence may read one thing, but the author might mean something completely different.
If you can get only 1 answer wrong out of every 12 or so in OG and 885 SC Q bank, you are good to go.

Didn't mean to send anyone off on a wild goose chase....The score was right at the bottom, maybe the paragraph before the last. It typed it in letters rather than in numbers to make it difficult to locate. Seems to have worked....just trying to lighten the mood here....hope no one was offended :)
