kevin, I think the first GMATPrep I took was hard for quant because I became used to the questions in Kaplan practices, which were pretty cut and dry. The GMATPrep had some really challenging questions that required working out math, as opposed to most of Kaplan's questions that rely on a single trick. Still, I think today's quant had less really tough questions than the GMATPrep.

That's an awesome score. You really kicked @ss on the Q, and 99th percentile in both rocks. Great job!

Thanks for the warm words. I forgot to mention 2 non-GMAT books that I found helpful.

The Grammar Bible by Michael Strumpf
Elements of Style by Strunk

The first really helped explain grammar oddities that came up in SC questions. The second gave a good feel for how good sentences should be written. This was helpful for those fuzzy SC questions where you are just picking the one that "sounds" the best.

That's amazing.

Wonder what raw score one needs to get 800?

I have seen ppl get Q50/V51, Q51/V47, Q51/V50 and they all get 780s!

Well done! You rock! and all the best!

After reading up on the net, I can confirm I missed the 3rd question in the verbal. I think this goes to show that you CAN miss early questions and still score well. Either that or it was an experimental.
