In case you decide to retake.

690 (Q50/V31)

Had a 6-hour student with the exact same break up Q50 V31. They retook in about 30 days and got a Q50 V40. May be some helpful insight you can leverage from their post. They mention a variety of resources and tips.

Hey guys,

Took the GMAT today and scored a 690 (Q50/V31), here's my question.

So what actually confuses me is that according to a grading table here on GMATCLUB, my score should be a 680? So I am confused, can my score still "drop" to a 680?

Also, I don't know if I'm satisfied, is 690 a competitive score? Considering I have 5 years of work-ex, with a graduation degree from IIT, and lots of extra curricular also I've been a startup founder(Did not do very well, but we tried!!).

Should i consider re writing Gmat or should I focus on my application?
Thanks, guys.

Hi Riteshchauhan,

1. I'd focus on my applications if I were you, but this comes down to school selection, the amount of time you have, and what you want to do. Maybe one more shot?

2. Internal scores, from which are total score is derived, are more accurate than the Q/V scores you see. Your score will not "drop" to 680. :)
