Hi,
As the title says, I just took the online test, but had to deal with tons of glitches and freezes. For example, when I would try to click an answer or click the next button, many times the system would freeze and not work for 5-10 seconds. These instances added up and led to some time issues for the math and IR sections. I've dealt with time issues on these sections in my practice tests as well, but these delays surely didn't help. During the AWA section it glitched so much that I couldn't write my essay, so I got the proctor to pause the test, and we got someone from GMAT support to come on and help. After about an hour of waiting, it was eventually "fixed" - it still glitched or froze evry so often, but at least I was able to write the essay.
Here's the thing - despite this, I still did pretty well. Here were my results:
760 Total
47 Verbal
48 Quant
7 IR
These scores are good, but I really wanted a 50 in quant (so I could be in the top 20%) and an 8 in IR. I managed to get both in a practice test, and while I don't have proof that the issues led to my lower score, it definitely could have been a factor.
What do you all recommend I do? Is it worth complaining to GMAT and seeing if they'll let me retake the test for free or something? Is there even any significant difference between my 48 Quant/7 IR and the 50 Quant/8 IR I was hoping for? I plan on applying to top universities, and if that doesn't work I'm hoping for big scholarships at second or third tier universities, so I was really hoping for as high a score as possible. Is my score good enough or should I try to improve it?

Here's the thing: yes, of course you can retake the GMAT, and it sounds like your Quant score will probably go up, but your excellent Verbal score of V47—which usually correlates to only 2 wrong out of the 30 counted questions—will probably decrease, and your 99% (760) composite score may decrease as well.
That said, there is nothing stopping you from sending more than one score to b-schools, and I have heard of several adcoms (including Wharton's) who will informally superscore aka Frankenstein score (they will consider your best section scores across multiple exams).
I was in a similar boat the first time I officially took the GMAT in 2012: I scored a Q47/V48/770 (99%) as a result of my high Verbal score, but I still wanted to retake to prove that I could score a Q50, even if it meant settling for a slightly lower Verbal score. Luckily, I did just that in 2017.

Thanks for the reply! You make a good point about the verbal score, but I'm actually not too worried about that - I scored right around this level in my practice tests, and am fairly confident I can do it again.
I guess my question is really how much an increase from a 48 quant to 50 quant and a 7 IR to 8 IR will matter, and if it's worth taking the test again to try for those benchmarks (hopefully I can convince GMAT to let me retake it for free in person due to the issues I had). I also may have gotten a lower essay score than I'd like, although I'm not too worried about that.
So, what do you think? Would retaking for the higher math scores matter? I guess I'm just really thrown for a loop by how the math percentiles work - I consider myself to be in the 65th percentile in math, so seeing that as my score is just tilting, but I'm seeing conflicted information on if the increase would matter or not.
