Hi,

In the question relating to the median -- work employees. Why did we need to have a +1 to 143?

Thanks

Hey cyd37,

do you mean why do we have to add 1 to 143??

If yes then please remember, in a set of n numbers such that n is odd, the median is (n+1)/2th element.

For example: Can you find which number is the median in 2,3,4 or 2, 4, 6, 7, 8?

Hope this resolves your doubt.

Regards,
Ashutosh
