Why does the classic sum does not work? I get answer D and I do not understand where is my error.

You are also getting answer E, not D.

How come we can omit the last digit? The 0? After the coma there are four 1´s and one 0
This is confusing me as I looked for the answer choice ending in 0.

In decimal notation, trailing zeros to the right of the decimal point do not affect the value of the number and thus are usually dropped in math representation. So, while the mathematical operation correctly results in 1.11110, the trailing zero after the decimal point is superfluous and does not change the value. Therefore, 1.11110 is equivalent to 1.1111.

here the answer you are getting (1.11110) and option E (1.1111) is the same. But if you check closely in D it's different ie 1.1110
trailing zeros to the right of the decimal point do not affect the value of the number
