In my opinion Answer should be C.

A. Rejected -> and whose images doesn't clearly define to which it is referring.
B. Could not understand the construction of this option as lot of commas were used, please help me understand this option.
C. I found this option to be gramatically correct.
D. Meaning distorted it gives the idea that Venus was mapped intermediate between earth and mars, while the meaning is Radar has mapped cloud shrouded venus and the images reflect its geology to be between earth and mars.
E. which is wrongly used.

Can someone give me a better explanation to all options. Also please help me understand the Option B as it has got lot of commas and i am not able to understand the link between the text in commas.

Mapping geology through the clouds? I found this surprising.
Also, sentence above says that mapping was done ...by radar images from Earth & ..by orbiting spacecraft.

Venus is shrouded by clouds, not its geology. Incorrect.

This is the best option.

The commas are used correctly. You can ignore the second part and the sentence still makes sense.

I picked A, obviously wrong now that I've read the explanations.

I discarded B because I thought "sent from Earth and orbiting spacecraft" wasn't parallel. Would "sent from Earth and from spacecraft in orbit" be better? I'm guessing it's preferable to be grammatically correct than having parallel structure?

D - awkward and nonsensical. ambiguous antecedent for 'its'. Hence incorrect.
E - Misplaced modifier. Venus's geology - modifying shrouded by clouds instead of Venus. Hence incorrect.
B - Concise and correctly placed modifiers. Hence B is a correct answer choice.

Is "Radar" the name of a spacecraft? Shouldn't it be: "Radar, an orbiting spacecraft sent from Earth, has mapped cloud shrouded Venus." ?

B is by far the best answer choice , though , I agree , not a perfect one.

Here is the reason why:
