You should target to solve RC in 8-10 mins not more than that time should be spend on ine RC passage! If you are taking more than 8-10 mins on one RC passage (including ques-ans) you are wasting your precious time and you should move on to next question!

thanks for the response. i did 3 passages and so far have spent the following:
1st passage: 8.25 mins ( got all 5 ques right )
2nd passage: 8.22 mins ( got all 6 ques right )
3rd passage: 8.18 mins ( got 5 out of 6 ques right)

Now the thing is these are questions from the OG 11 guide. Are 700 level GMAT RC much tougher that these ?

for 700 level RCs, are the passages harder to comprehend or is it the questions that are just tougher ?

i am currently doing 8+ minutes which i think is fair enough but im not sure i'll do the same/similar for 700 level questions.

need ur insight.

thanks again

coldteleporter I think you are good on RC! Just practice few more passages to see clearly where you stand and keep on practicing!!

RC passages on real GMAT are of the same difficulty level that of Official guides. Keep gmatclub members update about your pregress on GMAT journey!

2mins is good per question BUT it is dependent on the technique you use. Some people skim the passage then find the spots quick while others read the entire passage then answer questions. but always make sure you dont spend too much time per ques

Guess the net time is still 2 mins per question. Hence, a RC passage with 5 questions should be done in no more than 10 mins.
