With the last week of the admissions cycle starting this week what is everyone's feeling about the Consortium process? What did you feel worked and what didn't? Would you do anything over again?
Good luck to all who are awaiting responses this week

first, congrats, senator on deciding on a home for the next 2 years... i hope you find comfort in knowing that you're ending up exactly where you're supposed to be
on to the questions - other than the fact that it took like 10 days to receive a confirmation email from the consortium after i submitted my app, i've actually had a fairly positive experience with the process and am happy i applied through it
what worked: the schools i applied to were super responsive and i never felt left in the dark. i knew, for the most part, when to expect interview invites and when decisions were going to be released.
i'm also happy i waited until round 2 to apply.. i don't think my husband would have been able to deal with my neurotic behavior for 2 additional months
what didn't work: i'm not really sure why the draft date was such a big secret -- especially when some schools were willing to disclose the date (like ross did on a blog). if they would have released the date, they probably could have saved themselves from receiving a bunch of phone calls asking about the draft date.
i'm just happy that it's almost over so i can have my life back for the next 4 months before business school snatches it away again. i'm also looking forward to seeing where my forum buddies end up!

good luck everyone!
