Idioms will be phased out of the question bank. It will take some time to get them all out, but they will be phased out. That being said, you will likely still see idioms on SC problems, just less likely impacting answer choices.

I know the Idioms are gone, but what about Parallelism Idioms. There is a grip of Idioms with Parallelism built in. Have these been scrapped as well?

Hi gmatpunjabi,

I gave my GMAT test last week and though there was no question on Idioms but there were 2 questions on parallel connectors. One of my friends also gave 2 days after me and the same happened to him. Most likely, you should not see Idioms on your exam but since there might still be some in the pool. Parallel connectors are not going anywhere for sure. Hope that helps!

Thanks,
Amil

Yeah I took the GMAT on the 12 and had a similar experience. There was no idioms, but it hit me afterwards how would they test Parallelism without some of their Parallel Markers. Parallelism is the GMATs favorite subject after all.

When I said Parallel Idioms I met things like Declare XY and stuff like that. There is whole list of them under the Parallelism chapter in the Manhattan Sentence Correction Book
