Hi Gamezfreak,
3 things to remember while choosing a GMAT Test Prep company:
1) I see most people tend to externalize the problem i.e. a prep course or a book can help me. While some of it is true - on GMAT students who do well are those who internalize the problem i.e. how could I have got this question right. Remember that at the end of the day all test prep courses (atleast the good ones) have essentially teach the same concepts. So don't look at a test prep provider as a panacea for your GMAT troubles
2) No matter where you take your coaching from - do not depend too much on the questions they provide. Try to see if you are able to solve the Official Guide using the same concepts taught. A lot of test prep companies tend to have questions that are designed for the methods taught in their classes. Not of much help if the real deal is going to be different. The official questions (GMATPrep and OG) are the gold standard to assess your level. Nothing else.
3) Make sure that apart from coaching you get ample support. This is very important because while you are doing the course you will typically not have too many questions to ask. However it is in the build up to your test that you will start getting doubts on questions. It is important that there is someone to handhold you then.
