So just finished my gmat and not entirely happy with my score- mostly cus i know i cuda done better. Keeping in mind i want to go to a top 5 school, should i retake it?
Score 1- 680, awa-6 (expires this dec)
Score 2- 740, awa-0
Score 3- 700, awa? IR?
In the 3rd attempt i really screwed up the quant section n got a 42... I know i can do much better but i am worried 4 times is too much.
Also note that i got a 0 on awa 2nd attempt cus i had assumed they would just use the 6 from 1st attempt... So i left it blank ... Idiot!

Hi there,
Great job overall. How is the rest of your application? Let's assume that the admission people will either ignore your other scores or take some kind of holistic view. You are still left at about a 700 which is a solid score but not a gold star. If the rest of your app is awesome then I think you are probably fine with what you have and shouldn't worry about improving your GMAT. If the rest is near the mean then you might consider improving the only part that you can easily (relatively speaking) change.
