Great to hear that there are still invitations trickling through. I think that they may have left all of the African candidates to be reviewed in one batch together at the end of the process. I also think that there is a strong chance of getting wait-listed. Of course this assessment is based purely on intuition and nothing else so I am excited to see what comes of it all tomorrow.

Getting an invite at this stage must be a very pleasant surprise, especially considering they notify results by Dec 11th which is in a little over 2 weeks. Exciting Good luck to those recently invited.

Thank you to everyone who has provided information on this thread I've been trying to get the good karma up, but the clock is running out. Hoping for some good news in the next 36 hours like many of the rest of you. This has been a pretty disappointing start to the process, but there's a long way to go

I'm of a similar opinion. Like I posted earlier, if they are offering a 140k scholarship, they're sure as heck going to want to make sure they get the most "bang for their buck" so to speak. I can totally see the valid reasoning behind wait-listing anyone who is in contention for the scholarship.........Then again.....this could ALL be wishful thinking haha

Maybe they want to lump all of you Round 1 African applicants with those of us applying in Round 2. That way, you don't have a leg up over us... Haha. But on a serious note, I think you have an advantage what with Stanford trying to lure more African applicants into its fold.

So what time do we think the notifications are coming out? Does anyone think they are still handing out interviews? Pretty sure im receiving a ding at this point Gonna guess later on in the day, even after 5pm EST
