I received the call as well!!! INSANELY excited. Finally this part of the grueling process is over. I got the call around 11:06 EST time, located in Canada coordinator is VM.

Guys - I think it would be helpful to post applicant stats to help future candidates gauge an idea of maybe what INSEAD may be looking for:

710GMAT,26M, 5years WE at matriculation in Investment Banking/Finance, Canadian (Chinese ethnicity). To be frank I have minimal international work experience although I do have client coverage overseas. I've started a few extracurricular clubs as an alumn of my undergraduate program with strong membership but that's about it. I did put a ton of thought into my essays and my recommendation letters (from the senior heads of my group) were extremely strong, I think those two were probably my most important factors.

Congrats, I'm in Canada and still waiting for the call. I'm assuming you will decline Ivey's offer at this point?

Thanks man! And yes, unfortunately I will be declining Ivey's offer (they gave me a 50% scholarship too!). Also sucks to lose the $5k deposit though :(

I just got the call from carol therese.. I got in at fonty

Background - 29, Indian, grew up 19 years in Dubai, living in chicago for past 10 years. I am a senior financial trader for 8 years now.. Lot of extra curriculars - leadership role in a for profit education startup, vicepresident of 1000+ member cricket league in the midwest..

There are a bunch of other good schools with admission rounds left, might be an idea to apply to a couple more as a hedge seeing as you're clearly good enough?

knightofdelta - that's awesome that your coordinator was able to share that with you. i haven't heard anything from mine - i guess she's busy notifying the successful candidates in the US. how did you ask her for the feedback? in my waitlist response i only stated that if there's an area of my application that could be strenghten with additional info please let me know...

Well, I started off by thanking her for considering me for a waitlist. I then updated her about the promotion I got at work last month. Then on the same paragraph, I explained that that was the role that I said I would get with my next promotion in my essays.

I then asked if there was any specific area of concern on my application that I could strengthen to improve my chances.

I don't know but I think I connected with her throughout the application process and there was very little she could do about my candidacy. She explained that I could get off the waitlist anytime between now and August 25.

There is no point for Domrep to sacrifice his place to go to Ivey since he is Canadian. I need me some Nigerians to take off to Harvard. :-D

INSEAD is much higher rated in MBA rankings so it's obviously the better choice. haha just kidding!

Both schools are great and each will have it's merits. I hope you know yourself well enough and each school's individual strengths and weaknesses well enough to know which school will provide you the stepping stone you need to reach your potential. The only advice I would provide is to not weigh initial costs as the deciding factor, 5,10,15 years down the line the cost differential will be immaterial.
