I had started my preparation in September and this was my first attempt at GMAT. I was good in quants but horrible in verbal. So since the start I knew I had to devote more time in verbal. So every morning before going to office I would read Manhattan SC. After office I would practice SC, CR , RC ,DS and quants...5 days 5 topics. Weekends I gave practice exams and revise the paper. Never in my practice exam i got more than 37 in Verbal. I still kept practicing verbal. The important thing to score more in verbal as well as quants is to practice more and more 700+ questions. This is where gmatclub helped me. Also Aristotle RC is a very good book. It has 99 passages. I did around 30.
The key is keep practicing more and more. Even if your score doesnot increase immediately, it will eventually. My final score was V 40 Q 51.
Please let me know if I could be of any help.
