Undergrad: BSc International Relations, 4.4 /5
Postgrad: Masters in Information Systems, George Washington University, 3.75/4
WE: Worked as a technical specialist (IT) for United Nations,technical development lead in BP, consultant at the World Bank, interned for 6 month in a venture fund.Currently working as an IT project Manager on Summer Olympic Games project.
GMAT: 710
I speak 4 languages: English, Russian, Turkish and my native.
Lived and worked in Russia,USA, Middle East
Well traveled

no patents or anything like that
Extracurricular: Former professional chess player (titled).Several time national champion.A lot of volunteer activities, I am a co-founder of a local non-profit project connecting people with Hep-C in my country.Fulbright scholar.
I want to shift from business/technical side to more business oriented role in my career - particularly I am very interested in venture capital (have some experience in it) or some MBA route in a big multinational (energy, IT, technology - preferable).
I was thinking about these schools:

Stanford
Wharton
Tuck

Hi there,
Thanks for posting and sharing your profile. Overall you should be well-positioned for consideration by top business schools. Your strengths as I see it include:
-interesting work experience in terms of organizations (UN, World Bank, Olympics) and likely plenty of technical, analytical, project management skills (without viewing your resume here)
-international experience
-community involvement (especially if you can really speak passionately about it)
-solid GMAT & grades
-uncommon nationality can be a plus as schools look to put together diverse class groups
Potential challenges:
-you may want to continue to flush out your post-MBA goals more as you get closer to completing your essays/applications just to be sure you sound confident of your need for and use of the MBA
-be sure to illustrate that you have not only IT/technical skills, but also people skills/communication skills
Unknowns:
-I don't know so far if you have much leadership/management experience, but be sure to showcase those skills as possible
-essays/recs/interview
Beyond that just be sure not to underestimate the importance of the essays and the time/work involved. Your school list is ambitious but I do feel you would have a shot/be considered with strong applications. Keep in mind that Stanford will be the biggest reach and is tough for all applicants, being the most competitive option which also has a smaller class size vs some of the others. You could add a 'safety' school outside the top 8-10 if desired, that is up to you.

One last question - if you have noticed, I have played chess competitively, been 4 time national champion, twice I led the national Junior Olympics team etc - should I put a special attention to it in my essay or business schools generally do not care about such experiences? If yes - which ones are more likely to look favorably to this part of my resume?
