Like vs As

Question

Hi,

I had a query and would appreciate if anybody can help me out on this.

I know we usually use as for stating examples but is there any case in which like is also used??

Thanks 1991sehwag, I have gone through the article and the egmat free video, where it is mentioned only as is used for listing out examples, however I remember seeing a OG question where like was also used for examples. Can you please advise me on the same?

Like is used in case of nouns and as in case of verbs or actions

Hi hheena19 , Remember the below two points always and then you will be good without confusion Like --> Similar to Such as---> example What I mean to say is that Like has the same meaning as Similar , and Such as is used for "for example" Jill would love to travel to several European cities such as London, Florence, and Athens ---> cities , for example = London , florence , and athens Jill would love to travel to several European cities like London, Florence, and Athens ---> INCORRECT The second sentence is INCORRECT because "cities similar to London , etc--> This says "cities" is also a city
