Here is what I have learned about B school essays:
Business school essays are very difficult to perfect. For me, they have been much more difficult than taking the GMAT.
However, do not be dismayed! While the first several drafts of your essays may go down in flames, eventually you will put all of the pieces together and write a masterful essay. Keep pushing! Try, try, and try again is the only way to a brilliant essay.
Here is a breakdown of the first 12 drafts of the essay I just finished (No, seriously).

- #1 Incoherent
#2: Doesn't flow
#3: Jumbled up industry jargon
#4: Worse than the first three
#5: I forgot to actually answer the question
#6: Nice writing but doesn't say anything about what I am like
#7: Almost makes sense but way too much unneeded detail
#8: Forgot to answer the question again
#9: The AdCom probably wouldn't laugh at this. Score!
#10: Whoa.. This is actually pretty good.
#11: Wow, I am an expert at this. Where on earth is this coming from? Just a little more refinement....
#12: THE MONA LISA OF ESSAYS. #CUETHEHALLELUJAHCHORUS
