Hi guys ! I am desperate. 
Today morning I attempted the Manhattan CAT test and I go only 560 (Q 41, V 27). I have been training for a month yet and I didn't expect such a bad result.
I started to practise at the beginning of the year, but I didn't have much time to do so. In the end of March, I got 600 at the Gmat prep (Q 47, V 26) and I stopped training until mid- August.
This morning I didn't expect to get a 650+ score but at least to have improved from that 600 of the end of March. Now, knowing my current limits, I wonder if the Manhattan Cat test is tougher than the Gmatprep one; I mean, that 41 on the Quantative is embarassing, and I was pretty sure to be more prepared today than I was in March.
I need some support because my dreams are evaporating along with this terrible result.

These tests are not very reflective of the actual GMAT. GMATprep is the closest you will get. Having said that, Manhattan questions are high quality and you can expect that kind of questions in actual GMAT. I am just not sure if its scoring algorithm is correct. I had same issue with Kaplan. My score was inflated

To answer your main question: yes Manhattan Prep CATs are more difficult than the actual GMAT, especially the quant section. They are a great resource for practice but not for estimating your final score. For reference, I never scored above 700 on the two Manhattan CATs I took before my GMAT. My final GMAT score of 730 was pretty much reflective of my performance in the GMATPrep CATs.
