Guys I need some help over the below two questions.
Q22. Due to the fact that there are many sensitive equipments and dangerous chemicals in the lab, undergraduates are not permitted there without supervision.
a) Due to the fact that there are many sensitive equipments and dangerous chemicals
b) Because there is much sensitive equipment and many dangerous chemicals
c) Since there is sensitive equipment and much dangerous chemicals
d) Existing much sensitive equipment and many dangerous chemicals there
e) Be it that there are much sensitive equipment and dangerous chemicals
This is a cause-and-effect type of formation. So d) and e) gets eliminated.
a) gets eliminated because "equipment" is a non-countable noun. Hence equipments is wrong.
However between b) and c) I am not sure! Chemicals are non-countable, so in theory much must be used instead of many. So c) seems to be more appropriate than b). But the book says b) is correct. I am confused!!
Q77. The Australian blue heeler is a breed of cattle dog is known of its ability to drove herds of cattle, sheep and other herd animals over long distances across rough terrain.
a) is known of its ability to drove
b) has the knowing of its ability for droving
c) is well known for its ability to drove
d) has known the ability through driving
e) has to be well known for its ability of droving
It seems a that is missing after "dog" in the question statement. Also, most answer choices have "drove/droving" as the last word, however I think the correct answer must have "drive" instead. I have marked c) as the correct answer, and that matches with the book answer too, but the correct sentence formation should be "is well known for its ability to drive", isn't it?
Please advise!

I can say c is incorrect because sensitive equipment and much dangerous chemicals are not parallel. For q22.

Uncountable nouns can be used in the plural as well, depending on the meaning or context of the word. Take a look at these sentences:
1. Would you like some coffee? |uncountable, because it's referring to the drink in general
2. He ordered a coffee. |countable, because it's referring to a cup of coffee
In this question, uncountable noun 'chemical' is used as plural or countable way.
