Out of 2500 tons of ore, daily amount of pure metal = 0.4% of 2500
= 0.4/100 * 2500 = 10 tons

Daily pure metal is 10 tons, We have to find number of days where it will be equal to 2500 tons
2500/10 = 250. Hence C answer

Each day 2,500 x 0.4/100 = 25 x 0.4 = 10 tons of pure metal is mined.

So it will take 2500/10 = 250 days to mine 2500 tons of pure metal.

0.4% = 4/1000 = 1/250, and if we're getting 1/250th of what we want each day, it will take 250 days.

The "2500 tons" in the question is irrelevant and there's no need to use it here.
